Exact Audio Copy (EAC) is an audio grabber for CD-ROM drives. It works with a new technology, reading audio CDs almost perfectly.

Exact Audio Copy 1.0 beta 3 is a new audio grabber for CD-ROM drives. The main differences between most other audio grabbers: It works with a new technology, reading audio CDs almost perfectly. If there are any errors that can’t be corrected, it will tell you on which time position the (possible) distortion occurred, so you could easily control it with e.g. the media player.

Exact Audio Copy uses the Windows Audio Compression Manager (ACM Codecs) for direct compression e.g. to MP3 waves. EAC also supports automatic ID3 tagging via freedb or a local Database.

Audiochecker checks the origin of APE, FLAC, SHN, WAV and LPAC files or audio CD tracks. It can decide in most cases, whether the encoding is lossless or not (transcoded from other lossy, for example MP3 audio source). If not, the ´lossless´ file is fake.

ReNamer is a very powerful and flexible file renaming tool, which offers all the standard renaming procedures, including prefixes, suffixes, replacements, case changes, as well as removing contents of brackets, adding number sequences, changing file extensions, etc. For advanced users, there is a PascalScript rule, which let users program their very own renaming rule.

Program allows you to combine multiple renaming actions as a rule set, applying each action in a logical sequence, which can be saved, loaded, and managed within the program. QuickPar is a utility for creating Parity Volumes using the Reed Solomon algorithm. For details of the algorithm used, see the parchive website at SourceForge.

Parity Volumes may be used to verify that a set of files have not been corrupted, or to reconstruct damaged files (providing that you have a sufficient quantity of Parity Volumes to match the missing or damaged files).

QuickPar uses the PAR version 2.0 specification.

CPUMon is a simple little gadget to monitor single or dual CPU performance from your desktop. It displays a real-time graph of CPU performance as well as current usage indicator. In addition, it allows you to gather detailed technical information about your CPU(s) (Carbonsoft cxCPU), as well as memory usage statistics.
The display supports custom colors, alpha-blending, user defined update rates and more. CPUMon can also run in system tray mode instead.

TrueCrypt – Disk Encryption Software

TrueCrypt is a great free open-source disk encryption software for Windows 7/Vista/XP, Mac OS X, and Linux.

It allows virtual encrypted disk,entire partition encryption and storage device encryption. It is similar to Windows BitLocker but this is free and works on Windows XP.
